Transmission company Energinet.dk has awarded a series of contracts for the Dkr3.5bn grid infrastructure at the 600MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm in Denmark.
Siemens and ABB have scooped contracts to supply onshore electricals at the Hovegard, Ishoj and Tolstrup Garde substations while Royal Smit will supply a trasformer for the onshore Bjaerverskov facility.
CG Power System will supply a transformers at Bjaeverskov and Ishoj. As already announced, CG will also supply transformers and gas-insulated switchgear for the offshore substations.
Total value of all the above contracts at the Baltic Sea project is around Dkr250m.
“With the placement of orders we have ensured timely deliveries that means we are ready to link Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm on time in 2018,” said chief project manager Jens Christian Hygebjerg.
Energinet.dk is responsible for the grid connection out to and including the offshore substations. The tender for the rights to build Kriegers Flak is ongoing.
