Developer WPD has placed an order with Nordex for 14 turbines to be installed over three wind farm sites in Germany.
The order, with a combined output of 33.6MW, is for the N117 2400 low wind turbines. Hardware is due to be connected to the grid in the third quarter of 2016.
The projects are located at sites in Hesse, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt.
Nordex will be installing 10 of the turbines ordered at a tower height of 141 metres, with 120-metre towers being used for the others.
WPD has also signed service agreements for the turbines covering a period of 15 years.
