Gamesa has installed its first G114 2MW turbine in Asia-Pacific at the Subplu1 wind farm in Thailand.
The company signed an agreement with Chinese developer PowerChina ZhongNan for the supply of 30 of the G114 units at three wind farms.
The turbines are scheduled for commissioning in 2016 and Gamesa will maintain all these facilities for the next 10 years.
The G114s, which have a tower height of 125 metres, are among the highest turbines in Southeast Asian region, Gamesa said.
