Fred Olsen company Universal Foundation has appointed Kristian Ravn as managing director.
Ravn was previously MD at EPCI contractor Semco Maritime Norway, where he was responsible for a strategy to make the company a more cost effective alternative to larger Norwegian competitors.
Ravn said: “I have a strong belief in the mono bucket and have been impressed with the professionalism and drive of Universal Foundation during the years of development, design and testing of this innovative product.
“I am sure that the technology will provide a strong contribution in bringing down costs for offshore wind farms, at the same time reducing risks and environmental impact.”
Fred Olsen Ocean chief executive officer Rolf Newmann said: “Kristian is innovative by heart and had extensive experience in large scale project deliveries.
“We feel he is the perfect fit with Universal.”
