Apex Clean Energy has agreed a power purchase agreement with Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority for electricity from the 150MW Grant Plains wind farm in the US state.
Grant Plains is expected to come online in 2016.
OMPA general manager David Osburn said: “The Apex Clean Energy power purchase agreement gives OMPA the opportunity to increase our wind power portfolio from 100.2 MW to 141.6 MW in 2020 for our approximately 800 MW system.”
Apex president Mark Goodwin said: “Through this transaction, OMPA will be saving its customers money, while supporting important economic development in rural northeastern Oklahoma.”
