Suzlon Group is to supply Hero Future Energies with 31.5MW for the Zaheerabad wind farm in Medak in Telangana in India.
Suzlon will install its S97 2.1MW units, each with a hub height of 120 metres.
The project is scheduled for commissioning in June 2016.
The hybrid tower combines both lattice and tubular structures to help harness energy at low wind sites.
Hero Future Energies chief executive officer Sunil Jain said: “This move validates our efforts to optimize resources to enhance productivity onsite.
“We are positive about this partnership and have faith in the value proposition of hybrid towers and Suzlon’s capabilities.”
