Blue Energy has reached financial close on the 20.5MW Cour wind farm on the Kintyre Peninsula in Scotland.
The developer has secured £39.8m in finance for the 10-turbine wind farm, which will feature Senvion 2.05MW turbines, as first reported exclusively in subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS in April.
RJ McLeod will tackle civils and Vattenfall will purchase the power. Sgurr is lender’s technical adviser and Natural Power is owner’s engineer.

Cour is due to go live in 2017 with KfW IPEX-Bank providing the financial muscle. The wind farm was original developed by SSE.
Elsewhere, Blue Energy has kicked off construction at the 109MW Beinneun wind farm in the Highlands. Senvion is supplying 3.4MW turbines and Sgurr again acted as lender’s technical advisor for KfW IPEX-Bank.
