Gamesa has been awarded a contract to supply 37 of its G114-2.1MW turbines to a US wind farm in New York.
The company will transport, install and commission the hardware (pictured) at an unnamed project for an unnamed developer.
Delivery of the machines, optimised for low wind speed areas, is scheduled for 2016.
Gamesa said the deal “strengthens its presence in the US”. More than 4150MW has been installed in the country and Gamesa provides service to 1500MW.
The US accounted for 15% of Gamesa’s total megawatts sold in the first half of 2015.
