Procter & Gamble is to meet its electricity demands from 100% renewable energy from an EDF Renewable Energy wind farm in Texas.
P&G will receive 30% of its power from renewables by 2020, with the aim of that eventually rising to 100%.
The wind farm will be fully operational in December 2016 and electricity generated will be used to make brands such as Febreze, Mr Clean and Tide.
P&G North America fabric care president Shailesh Jejurikar said: “I am delighted that our collaboration with EDF RE continues to provide our consumers with their favorite, high performing brands while reducing our environmental footprint.”
