German transmission operator 50Hertz has issued a EPCI tender for 525kv HDVC power cables for four offshore and three onshore projects.
The four offshore and three onshore projects are divided into three lots containing an overall binding volume of 3.536KM core cable length.
Lot 1 includes 585KM of cables for the Bornholm Energy Island and a 330km of lines for the OST-2-4 offshore project.
Lot 2 includes 636KM of cables for the NOR-11-1 offshore project.
Additionally, 50Hertz is awarding a lot with optional volume for future projects with an expected volume of 900km core cable length and a maximum volume of 2.700km core cable length.
Interested parties have until 27 January 2023 to submit their bids with contracts due to commence on 1 July 2023.
