Norwegian consultancy Aqualis Offshore has opened an office in Taiwan to support local offshore wind developments.
The office will promote its marine and engineering services locally while supporting the development of its sister company’s Offshore Wind Consultants’ offshore projects in Taiwan, Aqualis said.
Offshore Wind Consultants was appointed by a local developer to provide consultancy services related to wind turbine installation vessels in December and is currently providing technical due diligence services on the topic.
“Taiwan has a rapidly growing offshore wind sector as well as certain requirements for offshore engineering and marine survey services,” Aqualis Offshore Asia Pacific director Phil Lenox said.
“Aqualis Offshore and Offshore Wind Consultants provide senior competence for the offshore sectors, so we believe that our experience can be utilised well in Taiwan.”
