Turbine blades for Statoil’s 30MW Hywind Scotland floating offshore wind farm have arrived in at NorSea Group’s Stordbase in Norway.
The Norwegian developer said the blades are 75 metres in length.
The project will consist of five 6MW Siemens turbines and is scheduled to come online by the end of the year.
Earlier this year, Abu Dhabi company Masdar took a 25% stake in the project.
Stordbase is serving as the onshore construction port for the project.
