Bladt Industries has installed the transformer on to the offshore substation platform for Parkwind’s 219MW Northwester 2 offshore wind farm, which will be located off the coast of Belgium.
The unit weighs 235 tonnes and was installed using three cranes, the Danish fabricator said.

It added that everything went according to plan with the installation of the transformer.
Northwester 2 will comprise 23 MHI Vestas V164 turbines and is expected to be fully commissioned early next year.
