The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has rescheduled five postponed public meetings for later this month regarding the development of the 800MW Vineyard Wind offshore wind farm off the coast of Massachusetts.
Each event will cover the project’s draft environmental impact statement.
The first will be at Nantucket Atheneum on 11 February from 5pm to 7.30pm, with the second on the following day at Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center between 5pm and 8pm.
The Double Tree Hotel in Hyannis will host the third event on 13 February and the Fairfield Inn and Suites in New Bedford the fourth on 14 February. Both these meetings will be from 5pm to 8pm.
Narragansett Community Center will host the final event on 15 February from 5pm to 8pm.
The five meetings should have been held last month but were cancelled because of the US government shutdown.
Vineyard Wind is a 50:50 joint venture between Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Avangrid Renewables.
