The substation topside for Dong Energy’s 258MW Burbo Bank 2 offshore wind farm has been installed in Liverpool Bay.
Dong said that the 1200-tonne structure, manufactured by Smulders, is now in position.
The substation topside and jacket left Engie Fabricom’s Hoboken yard in Belgium earlier this month.
They were loaded out by lemants Smulders in May and June.
