The Carbon Trust has opened two tenders for studies into subsea cables for offshore wind farms.
One tender seeks companies to evaluate the need for fault detection and monitoring on array cable and how this would work in combination with other systems and site processes to minimise generation down time.
Interested parties have until 1pm local time on 4 July to submit an application.
The second tender is for a study looking into improved cable designs for fixed-bottom offshore wind farms.
The objective is to evaluate and recommend potential improvements to subsea cable designs and develop specifications of possible future wiring, Carbon Trust said.
Interested parties have until 1pm on 11 July to apply.
Both tenders are part of the Trust’s Offshore Wind Accelerator programme.
