Chinese companies Sichuan Honghua Petroleum Equipment Company and MBEC have entered into a construction agreement in relation to jackets for an offshore wind project.
Sichuan Honghua will provide MBEC with jackets processing and construction services for an undisclosed offshore wind project.
Since entering the offshore wind market Sichuan Honghua has signed orders with a total amount of approximately CY800m (€97m).
The value of the construction agreement with MBEC is in the region of CY0.22bn.
The construction agreement for the jackets will lay the foundation for subsequent cooperation between the two companies.
The agreement was determined after arms’ length negotiations between Sichuan Honghua and MBEC.
MBEC, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, is mainly engaged in bridge engineering construction.
