Chinese company CNOOC has achieved first power at a 300MW offshore wind farm it is co-developing off the coast of China’s Jiangsu province.
The project is about 39 km from shore in water depths of 12 metres and will host 67 turbines.

The wind farm is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of 2020.
CNOOC holds a 47% interest of the jointly developed offshore wind power project, with the other developers unnamed.
