Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has announced that its 500MW Fengmiao 1 Offshore Wind Farm has signed a CPPA with Sino American Silicon Products (SAS) and its renewable energy subsidiary Sustainable Energy Solution (SES).
The Fengmiao I deal represents a significant milestone in the industry’s shift from selling electricity to Taipower to a business model that is entirely based on direct sales of electricity to corporations, CIP said.
The project is located 35km off the coast of Taichung City and plans to install 33 wind turbines by the end of 2027.
