CWind Taiwan has been awarded a contract by Van Oord to charter a vessel for the nearshore cable route survey of Orsted’s Greater Changhua 1&2a offshore wind farms.
Starting in March, CWind Taiwan will use a Taiwanese-flagged survey boat Ocean Surveyor 3 to support Van Oord by conducting multibeam surveys for the wind farms.
CWind Taiwan said that to ensure optimal accuracy of the survey data it is refitting Ocean Surveyor 3 with a moon pool prior to project commencement.
CWind Taiwan commercial director Ethan Wang said: “CWind Taiwan is actively supporting all the ongoing offshore wind farms in Taiwan with our survey services.
“We are delighted to contribute our extensive experience through our Taiwanese-flagged survey boats and local crew into assisting Van Oord’s project in Taiwan.”
