Czech utility CEZ has hired Rudiger Rittner as senior business development manager to work in the company’s office in Hamburg.
He will focus on business development for renewable energy in Western Europe, especially in offshore wind sector and the French market, CEZ said.
From 2008 to 2013, Rittner was head of business & project development with Eon Climate & Renewables.
CEZ said it is interested in partnerships and acquisitions in on- and offshore wind as well as photovoltaics.
Earlier this year, the utility mandated investment firm Aquila Capital to help build its wind power portfolio in Germany. It plans a “triple-digit-million euro” investment over the next five years.
