Dajin has delivered all 36 monopiles for the Thor offshore wind farm being developed by RWE.
The 1.1GW project, located 22km off the west coast of Jutland, is Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm to date.
Of the 36 monopiles delivered by Dajin, 11 have already been installed off the Danish coast.
A Dajin spokesperson said: “This achievement is a strong endorsement of our outstanding execution performance, which has been highly recognised by our client RWE.
“From the first steel cutting in January 2024 to final completion, the project spanned over a year of close collaboration with our client and dedicated effort.
“The Thor project represents a significant milestone for us, as it is not only our first TP-less monopile project but also the first project in which we took full responsibility for transportation.
“Throughout the Thor project execution, our team demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability.”
Delivery of the monopiles was completed 11 days ahead of schedule, with no lost time injuries.
The spokesperson added: “We would like to express our great gratitude to the project leadership, all project team members, and every contributor who played a crucial role in making this achievement possible.
“Your hard work, expertise, and commitment have been instrumental in the success of the Thor project.”
Dajin will continue to collaborate with RWE for the 1.6GW German Nordseecluster offshore wind farm.
Norges Bank Investment Management has acquired a 49% stake in the Thor and Nordseecluster wind farms but RWE remains the majority owner and is responsible for the construction and operation of both projects.
