Dong Energy has ordered electrical cable pulling winches from MacArtney for the 1.2GW Hornsea 1 offshore offshore wind farm off the UK east coast.
The deal is for three MacArtney 160kN winches including spare parts.
The Danish company’s winches will bring array cables and export cables from the seabed onto the three substation decks.
The power cables will be pulled through a total of 15 J-tubes onto each sub-station for connection, MacArtney said.
