The Danish Energy Agency and transmission system operator Energinet are to hold a market dialogue day for the 1GW Thor offshore wind zone later this month.
The session will take place on 25 November in Copenhagen and will give would-be bidders detailed information on the site, tender procedure, award criteria and grid connection.
DEA and Energinet officials will also gather feedback from developers and investor to “optimise” the tender, said the former.
“The ultimate aim of the dialogue is thus to collect relevant input from market players and thus pave the way for obtaining lowest possible bid prices, when final bids are to be submitted for the Thor call for tender in 2021.”
DEA also published marketing material today, outlining the background on the Thor zone and the proposed tender.
The material shows the site is 20km west of Jutland with mean wind speeds of 10.3 metres per second and has water depths of 25-35 metres.
The winning bidder will be expected to bring the project online by end-2027.
