Danish renewables developer Floating Power Plant has acquired a Siemens Gamesa turbine for its flagship demonstrator project off the coast of Gran Canaria.
The 4.3MW SWT-DD-120 machine is to be installed at the platform at the Plataforma Oceánica de Canarias (PLOCAN) site in the Canary Isles.

The project is designed to integrate wind power, wave power, and hydrogen storage technologies, showcasing the future of renewable energy.
Floating Power Plant was recently awarded a grant of €26m from the EU Innovation Fund.
