DEME had secured a contract to carry out inter-array cable transport and installation for RWE and Norges Bank Investment’s 900MW Nordseecluster B wind farm off Germany.
It will deliver 124km of wires to the North Sea project to connect the site’s 60 turbines to the offshore substation.
Work is scheduled to get underway in late 2027, with DEME’s Living Stone cable installation vessel to be mobilised for the job.
The scope includes all the engineering, preparation and supporting activities.
DEME general manager for subsea power cables Philip Scheers said: “This new project further reinforces our cooperation with RWE and DEME’s leadership in the European subsea power cable market.
“With our modern and versatile offshore fleet and specialised equipment, we are ideally positioned to successfully deliver this interesting scope.
“We look forward to working closely with the joint venture between RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management to ensure seamless execution and collaboration.
“The project will also benefit from DEME’s extensive experience in cable installation and burial.”
