Northland Power has completed installation of 31 MHI Vestas turbines on the monopile foundations for the 269MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Commissioning of the machines is ongoing and a further two turbines will be installed on mono bucket foundations, the company said.
First power was delivered from the project last month.
Balance of plant contractor Van Oord carried out the work to install the 31 turbines on the monopiles using its installation vessel Aeolus
Installation and cabling of the two mono buckets and turbines is planned for the fourth quarter.
Northland Deutsche Bucht project director Jens Poulsen said: “The Deutsche Bucht project reached another great achievement with the installation of the 31 wind turbines.
“We are proud of the Deutsche Bucht project team and their partners contributing to the rapid construction of the wind farm.”
Deutsche Bucht is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of the year.
