Tractebel DOC Offshore has completed construction supervision of the inner array cabling for the 200MW Borkum West 2 second phase offshore wind project in the German North Sea.
The work took place over eight months on behalf of project developer Trianel.
For the work package on Borkum West 2.2 DOC provided 14 personnel involved in various aspects, including cable loading, preparatory work on the transformer station and on the foundation structures, cable laying, installation and connection.
As part of its work DOC provided quality assurance.
The cable installation work was carried out with the Seaway Aimery, the Seaway Moxie, the Olympic Ares and the EDT Jane vessels.
Tractebel DOC Offshore managing director Oliver Spalthoff said: “The cooperation on the construction site and with our client was without exception positive.”
