Dong has started the public consultation process for its 2.4GW Hornsea 3 wind farm off the Norfolk coast.
The first phase includes an initial round of community consultation events, which will take place between 31 October and November 9.
The consultation period will last at least 28 days, with feedback due by the end of November.
A second round of consultation events will take place during the second half of 2017, it said.
Hornsea 3 will be located over 120km offshore to the east of the Hornsea 1 and 2 projects, and is exploring an area of up to 696 square kilometres.
Dong is currently assessing potential cable route options from various locations along the North Norfolk coastline, connecting into Norwich Main National Grid substation.
The developer acquired the rights to develop the Hornsea Zone in 2015 from SMart Wind, who was originally awarded the site in The Crown Estate Round 3 bid process. It already has obtained development consent orders for Hornsea 1 and 2.
