Dong Energy has awarded a one-year contract to UK outfit Robertson Facilities Management for work at the Danish company’s new offshore wind farm operations and maintenance (O&M) base at King’s Wharf in Birkenhead.
Under the terms of the deal, Robertson Facilities Management will deliver a combination of hard and soft facilities management (FM) services for the base, which was completed earlier this year.
The King’s Wharf facility (pictured) serves both the 90MW Burbo Bank and 258MW Burbo Bank 2 offshore wind farms.
Robertson Facilities Management managing director Ian Gibson said: “We are delighted to be providing a breadth of FM services to Dong Energy and I’m confident our experienced team will become an integral addition to the site at King’s Wharf.”
Burbo Bank operations head Lee Rollason said: “We’re extremely pleased with the work Robertson has delivered so far; having the new facility has had a really positive impact on our work and day-today activities.”
