The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has gone to market for geotechnical expertise to help gather data for its 4GW IJmuiden Ver wind farm zone in the Dutch North Sea.
A contractor is needed to develop an integrated ground model and a geotechnical interpretative report for the site.
The work will be carried out between October this year and late 2022. Interested parties have until 27 August to apply.
Results from the studies will be made available to prospective developers for the site from late 2022, allowing them to come up with preliminary foundation designs and installation methods for in-field cabling.
The 400km Ijmuiden Ver zone lies 62km off the Netherlands.
The rights to develop four sites within the zone will be allocated at a pair of 2GW auctions that are due to be held in 2023 and 2025.
