BayWa has filed a scoping request for an up to nine turbine extension to the operational Airies wind farm in Galloway, Scotland.
The 45MW development could feature 200-metre machines, with up to 150-metre rotor diameter and 125-metre hub heights, according to documents filed with the local authority.

The Airies 2 development would be located approximately 7km east of New Luce and would utilise some infrastructure from the original wind farm to its east.
Airies 1, which is owned by NTR, has a 37MW capacity with 14 turbines and was completed in 2017.
BayWa is seeking 30 years operational life from the development. Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions will work on the environmental impact assessment.
