Edda Wind has entered into a green loan facility agreement for the pre- and post delivery financing of three CSOVs under construction at Gondan shipyard in Spain.
The facility, which is with Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Eksportfinansiering Norge and Sparebanken Vest, is for minimum €100m and maximum €120m, with a term of six years from delivery and a blended profile of 12 and 15 years.
Following this agreement, nine of the 10 vessels in the fleet have secured long-term financing.
The agreement comes a week after Edda Wind announced that it has taken delivery of Edda Boreas (pictured) from Gondan Shipyard.
The vessel is the second of six sister vessels to be delivered from Gondan.
The CSOV will start installation of the motion-compensated gangway and crane system after leaving the yard in Spain.
Thereafter, the vessel will commence work at Dogger Wind farms UK in May for minimum of two years.
Earlier this month, the company extended the charter agreement with Orsted for Edda Mistral for 12 months until the end of August 2024
The service operation vessel (SOV) Edda Mistral has operated for Orsted at Hornsea 1 Offshore Wind Farm since it was built in 2018.
The firm period is expiring end of August 2023.
Orsted has declared an option to extend the contract, in direct continuation, by 12 months until the end of August 2024 at a day rate subject to annual escalation.
