CS Wind Offshore has completed the final monopile fabrication for Orsted’s 913MW Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm in the North Sea.
The Danish company has manufactured 40 XXL WTG monopile foundations for the site 70km off the German coast, which will become the country’s largest offshore array once operational.

Once energised in 2025, Borkum Riffgrund 3 will supply clean energy to 900,000 households.
“Borkum Riffgrund 3 represents another significant achievement in our long-term business relationship with Orsted,” said CS Wind Offshore.
“We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to this milestone.”
Installation of the monopiles began last year, with the work on the site’s 83 foundations carried out by Jan De Nul.
