Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) vessel Stanislav Yudin has installed the first four piles for the 588MW Beatrice wind farm off the Scottish coast.
The heavy-lift vessel arrived at the site in the Outer Moray Firth on 1 April and completed the installation on the evening of 2 April, SHL said.
It placed a so-called pile installation frame (pictured) to drive the four piles into the seabed.
The job will smooth the path to full turbine jacket installation at the project site later this year.
Once commissioned in 2019, Beatrice will feature 84 Siemens 7MW wind turbines.
