Navantia’s Fene shipyard in Spain has received the first batch of components manufactured at the French port of Brest for the jacket foundations for the 496MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm off the coast of France.
Final assembly of the jackets will take place at Fene, Navantia said.

The 30 components, with a total weight of 1300 tonnes, have been manufactured by local Breton companies and by Navantia teams and their collaborating companies, the company said.
The BBC Belem vessel left Brest on 2 April with the first shipment, which will be followed by 16 more over the next 15 months.
The Navantia-Windar joint venture is manufacturing 62 jackets for the wind farm.
