Fred Olsen Windcarrier jack-up Bold Tern has installed the first Siemens 6MW turbine at the 402MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Bold Tern has been deployed together with Seajacks jack-up Scylla from the port of Esbjerg to carry out the work.
The project will consist of a total of 67 Siemens machines and is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of the year.
The shareholders in the wind farm are Highland Group, Siemens Financial Services and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
