Navantia Seanergies has celebrated a delivery milestone for the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm with the load-out of five jacket foundations onto a single vessel (pictured).
Each 1200-tonne structure is part of the 62-jacket array being developed by Les Éoliennes en Mer, a consortium comprising Ocean Winds, Sumitomo Corporation and Banque des Territoires.
The Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm will be located 15km off Le Tréport and 17km from Dieppe in France.
A spokesperson for Navantia Seanergies said: “We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve successfully loaded five jackets onto a vessel.
“Load-outs are always complex manoeuvres, and this time we’ve exceeded expectations by shipping five.”
Each jacket stands at 63 metres tall and 14 metres wide. They have left the shipyard in Fene and are now headed for the English Channel.
The jackets will be installed at the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm, which will provide renewable energy to approximately 850,000 people.
The project consists of 62 jackets manufactured by Navantia Seanergies in partnership with Windar.
The first four jacket foundations were loaded out in July.
