The 8MW Formosa demonstration offshore wind farm off Taiwan is due to enter full commercial operation shortly, according to reports in the country’s media.
A pair of Siemens 4MW turbines feature at the wind farm on two monopile foundations.
Local media reported Taiwan’s Economics Minister said a final permit for operations is due shortly.
Dong and Macquarie hold a combined 85% in the 128MW Formosa 1 offshore wind farm after securing the stake from local developer Swancor earlier this year.
