France is preparing to publish the initial bidding criteria for the country’s third offshore wind energy tender.
The government is expected to release the details in the coming days once it has received feedback from energy watchdog CRE.
The latter is on the verge of sending its reply to the government following a review of the draft conditions since September.
Once the first set of bidding conditions is published, developers and the government will develop them further in what is called a ‘competitive dialogue’ process.
Round 3 will include only one project, the 500MW Dunkirk wind farm.
That would bring the country’s total tendered for offshore capacity to 3.5GW.
