French transmission system operator RTE is seeking a company to deliver cable storage for several offshore wind farms to be built off the coast of France.
The tender covers 225kV subsea wires that will constitute the repair stock for the connections for the 480MW Saint-Nazaire, 450MW Courseulles-sur-Mer, 498MW Fecamp and 496MW Saint-Brieuc projects.
It also includes an option for the temporary storage of accessories, such as junctions.
The storage site must be secure and allow for the rapid mobilisation at any time in the event of damage.
The target date for setting up the storage site is September 2020 at the earliest.
The contract is for 10 years, with the option to renew twice for five years each.
Interested parties have until midday local time on 10 January to apply.
