Inspection provider Fulkrum has secured a contract to support the QA/QC activities for the Dogger Bank Wind Farm project in England.
Fulkrum will provide inspection services during the Dogger Bank A development stage, with a possibility of contract extension to zones B and C.
Its role will be to ensure conformity and quality of the wind turbines and main components, including blades, tower sections and nacelle.
Located off the east coast of Yorkshire, Dogger Bank will consist of 277 GE Haliade-X turbines of 13MW and 14MV, with each of the three zones having an installed generation capacity of 1.2GW.
Fulkrum’s business development manager for renewables James Dunsford said: “We are delighted to be working on this project which is set to be the world’s largest offshore wind farm and supply 5% of the country’s demand upon completion.
