The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany has issued a tender for a geophysical site investigation of an offshore wind area in the North Sea.
The scope of the works, detailed in the procurement tender documents, include the measurement of a 1100km area, using a sediment echo sounder as well as high-resolution single and multi-channel seismics.
The study areas are located in the German offshore energy zone of the North Sea in area N-6 of FEP (2019).
Additionally, the works include the processing of the recorded data sets, their evaluation and documentation as well as the determination of suitable locations for the subsequent geotechnical explorations.
The collection and processing of hydroacoustic and seismic data is intended for third parties, to feed into project tender bids.
Successful applicants will be expected to carry out sediment echo sounding, including waterborne sound measurements, single channel seismics, multi-channel seismics, preparation and processing of the hydroacoustic and single-channel seismic data, as well as the preparation and pre-stack processing of the multi-channel seismic data.
The prestack data processing is to be optimised with regard to a later depth conversion of the data and thus the creation of a data basis for a 3D model in the depth range.
In addition, the work scope also includes the creation of a preliminary soil model to provide a rough overview of the general soil conditions, in order to present drilling locations to the client.
The surveys must be carried out no later than 15 August 2020, according to the tender documents.
