Marine and engineering consultancy Global Maritime has signed a new framework agreement with Van Oord to deliver a wide range of offshore engineering consultancy services.
The partnership will focus on leg penetration analysis, zonation assessments, geohazard risk assessments and site-specific assessments, combining expertise from Global Maritime’s structural engineering team and GM Geo’s geotechnical specialists.
The agreement will support both operations and maintenance campaigns and wind turbine and foundation installation projects.
Global Maritime and Van Oord have worked together for more than a decade through the latter’s subsidiary MPI Offshore UK, building a strong relationship based on technical competence and trust.
As part of the new deal, Van Oord has also begun using Global Maritime’s Opsim software, expanding collaboration beyond the UK to include projects with Van Oord Netherlands.
Kirti Bairathi, UK structural engineering lead at Global Maritime, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Van Oord through this framework agreement.
“Our shared history of successful projects and mutual trust has led to this exciting next chapter, and we look forward to bringing our engineering and geotechnical expertise to support Van Oord’s offshore wind and marine operations worldwide.”
Global Maritime said the partnership underscores its commitment to providing innovative, safe and sustainable engineering solutions across the offshore wind and marine sectors.
