Enova and BMR partner on 34MW Nettetal project

Enova Value has acquired the 34MW Nettetal wind farm project from BMR energy solutions as part of their ongoing strategic partnership in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Under the agreement, BMR will oversee full development and project management through to commissioning, with construction scheduled to begin in early 2026.

The project will comprise five Nordex N163 turbines, each rated at 6.8MW, located in Nettetal in the Viersen district.

Once commissioned in 2027, the wind farm is expected to generate around 70,000MWh of clean electricity annually, meeting the needs of approximately 17,000 households.

Rene Meyer, head of investment and portfolio management at Enova, said: “We are delighted to be implementing another project with BMR.

“The clear division of responsibilities is a key success factor: BMR contributes its regional development expertise, while we secure the financing and subsequent operation.

“Furthermore, with the acquisition of the Nettetal wind farm, we are expanding our project pipeline in North Rhine-Westphalia to over 300MW.”

BMR managing director Guido Rulands said: “For BMR, this is another important milestone in the development of strategic partnerships and the consistent implementation of the project pipeline developed by BMR.

“We are very pleased that Enova is leveraging BMR’s development and construction expertise and that the joint partnership can be expanded with another project.”

The Nettetal development builds on the companies’ previous collaboration on the 39.9MW Waldfeucht repowering project, completed in 2023 and featuring seven Nordex N163 turbines.

Together, Enova and BMR plan to continue expanding their partnership to deliver further onshore wind projects across the region.
