Danish company Global Wind Service is to support MHI Vestas on the installation of turbines at the 269MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The work will start in June on the 33 V164-8.4MW machines, GWS said.
Support will also be provided to MHI Vestas with the pre-assembly activities in Esbjerg, Denmark.
GWS chief commercial officer Lars Petersen said: “We are grateful to MHI Vestas for trusting us with this interesting project and we look very much forward mobilizing our experienced personnel across to Deutsche Bucht.
“We have had a close and strong partnership with MHI Vestas Offshore Wind through many years and are very pleased to continue our journey – this time installing 33 turbines at Deutsche Bucht.”
Deutsche Bucht is owned by Northland Power and is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
