The German Offshore Wind Energy Association (BWO) has set up a legal advisory board with nine founding members.
The group is intended to counsel the association on a wide range of issues – from tender design to the approval regime to the immigration of skilled workers.
“Legal issues play a major role in the expansion of offshore wind energy,” said BWO Managing Director Stefan Thimm.
“That is why I am very pleased that our top-class legal advisory board has started its work. My heartfelt thanks go to all members who are involved here! I look forward to a successful collaboration.”
The legal advisory board is drawn from a circle of leading law firms in the field of offshore wind energy and is unique in its form.
It includes representatives from GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mdB, Watson Farley & Williams LLP, Kapellmann und Partner Rechtsanwälte mdB, Chatham Partners, Posser Spieht Wolfers & Partners, CMS Hasche Sigle Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten und Steuerberatern mbB, Winfried Huck from the law faculty of the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, Bernhard W Wegener from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen and Thomas Schomerus from the Leuphana University of Lüneburg.
