Dutch offshore wind equipment specialist Huisman is to deliver a 4000-tonne crane to Boskalis for the Bokalift 2 crane vessel.
The offshore mast crane will be able to lift up to 100 metres above deck, making it capable of lifting jackets for wind turbines off the vessel.
A fly jib allows lifting of smaller components up to a height of 125 metres above deck, Huisman said.
“The configuration of the hoisting tackles is such that the crane is capable of lifting large jackets and of upending long monopiles from a horizontal to vertical position,” the company added.
A selected number of auxiliary systems will also be supplied, which aim specifically to install tall structures while the vessel is subject to wave induced motions.
Huisman supplied a 3000-tonne crane to the Bokalift 1 vessel in 2017.
