Statoil is preparing to kick off seabed and UXO surveys along the cable route and project area of its 30MW Hywind Scotland offshore wind demonstrator in the UK.
The survey is scheduled to cover the export corridor between the Buchan Deep project site and landfall at Peterhead in the northeast of the country.
It is expected Swedish company MMT will carry out the work using vessel Edda Fonn.
Surveys will run from 14 April to 15 May and will be focused on identifying any unexploded bombs and other ordnance.
The Hywind Scotland project will feature five Siemens 6MW turbines of floating spar foundations and is due online end-2017.
