India has cancelled two offshore wind tenders totalling 4500MW.
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), which runs allocations for the government, confirmed 4GW and 500MW auctions had been scrapped.

It gave no reason for the move but speculation online suggests a lack of interest. SECI has been contacted for comment.
The larger allocation was launched last year and bids were due by the end of July, according to the agency.
It is understood to have offered acreage off Tamil Nadu.
The 500MW round was for a plot off Gujarat, which included a support contract.
It launched in 2024 and bids were due earlier this month, according to SECI.
The government had granted a number of extensions to the deadlines, it is understood.
